The Brazilian midfield ace has enjoyed a solid season at Newcastle. He is the vital player at the heart of Eddie Howe’s midfield. The 26-year-old has scored three goals and provided seven assists in 40 matches for this season across all competitions.
Guimaraes will see his contract expire at St James Park until the summer of 2028. Man City would have to invest a huge amount if they are serious about signing the midfielder during the summer.
The 26-year-old is a tough-tackling midfielder who can read the danger well to secure the ball back for his team in the middle of the park. We can expect him to bring quality to Pep Guardiola‘s midfield department.
