Manchester City has joined the race for talented midfielder Jamal Musiala.
The 20-year-old has been one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga for a few years now since breaking into the first-team during the 2019/20 campaign.
He became the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer and the youngest player to play in the Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich are desperate to tie Musiala down to a new contract as they are aware of the immense interest from other elite European clubs.
Most Premier League clubs are interested in the talented youngster but Bayern are confident that Musiala will commit his future with the Bavarians.
Fabrizio Romano explains how City considers Musiala as a long-term replacement for Kevin de Bruyne.
He said: “At the moment Jamal Musiala’s contract expires in 2026, and there is still no agreement with Bayern to extend the contract.
“For Bayern, it is an absolute priority. They know that other clubs will be in the race, we’ve had reports of Liverpool, but trust me, it’s not just Liverpool, many important clubs around Europe are keeping eyes on Musiala. Clubs in Spain, in England, not just Liverpool… people at Manchester City and Chelsea have been keeping an eye on Musiala as he’s one of the best talents in the world.”
