Man City prepared to open contract negotiations with goalkeeper Ederson

Ederson makes around £120,000 a week and City look to extend the contract of the 30-year-old.

Manchester City are prepared to open contract negotiations with goalkeeper Ederson. The Brazilian is one of the finest goalkeepers and he has been terrific for the club in finding victories at a big level.

The Brazil international joined Man City from Benfica in 2017. He has made over 325 appearances. Ederson won five Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, two FA Cups, four EFL Cups, a UEFA Super Cup and a Club World Cup.

As per the reports of Daily Star, the Cityzens are preparing to hold contract talks with Ederson in the near future. His contract will expire in the summer of 2026.

The Premier League winners believe it makes sense to begin negotiations over a new deal as soon as possible. The Brazilian makes around £120,000 a week and City look to extend the contract of the 30-year-old.

Ederson has featured 27 times this season and currently, he is out due to an injury in Man City’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool last weekend.

Stefan Ortega may also get a contract extension as his contract will expire at the end of next season.
