Bayern Munich plotting a move for Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips.

The England midfielder struggled to earn a spot in Pep Guardiola’s team and was linked with an early exit this summer.

He has endured a difficult 15-month campaign since his move from Leeds United in the summer of 2022.

The out-of-favour Man City midfielder is expected to push for a move this January as he faces an uncertain future under the management of Pep Guardiola.

He still has five years remaining on his City contract and a move this winter would be an ideal decision by the 27-year-old.

Bayern Munich considers Phillips as a potential target and has contacted his representatives to understand his current situation.

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is a huge admirer of the English midfielder since his days at Leeds United and reportedly wants to sign him on a six-month loan.

On the other hand, the 27-year-old England international is also on the radar of Arsenal as Mikel Arteta is keen to add some defensive solidity in the middle of the park.

It remains to be seen where Phillips ends up this January as he would definitely want a move away from the Etihad.
