Man City failed with a £60m bid for Eze on the deadline day of the transfer window.
Manchester City are still in the hunt for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze. They continue to monitor Eze ahead of a potential future move for the midfielder.
The Sky Blues were linked with Eberechi Eze towards the end of the summer transfer window. They were looking for the replacements of Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez.
Man City invested on Matheus Nunes and Jeremy Doku, but they failed with a £60m bid for Eze on the deadline day of the transfer window.
As per Football Insider, Crystal Palace value Eze at around £70m and Man City are not stepping back as they are keen to get him.
The report adds that both Guardiola and sporting director Txiki Begiristain are “huge admirers” of Eze and the club will continue to monitor his progress heading into the New Year.
Eze has made 102 appearances for the Palace across all competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing 13 assists. Eze scored 10 times in the Premier League to help his club move away from the relegation zone.
The Eagles star was ruled out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for this month’s international break and he may not return to first-team action until the middle of November.
