Ilkay Gundogan scored the opening goal for Manchester City.

The Cityzens went two goals behind at the Etihad and almost handed the title race to Liverpool last night.

But a 76th-minute goal from substitute Ilkay Gundogan changed the whole dynamic of the game.

Rodri scored the second goal and another goal from Gundogan sealed the win for the Cityzens and ensure Guardiola win his fourth title in five years.

Pep Guardiola explains how Gundogan’s goal as the turning point was the turning point of the game.

“Aston Villa gave everything but the moment we found a goal, it changed everything.

“These guys, we are legends. When you win in this country four times in five years, it’s because these guys are so, so, special.

“The first time we won with 100 points, the second one in Brighton, the third last season with no people, and now, wow, winning at home with our people is the best.”
