Jeremy Doku sets Premier League record in epic showdown

In a tense match between Manchester City and Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, all eyes were on Jeremy Doku, a 21-year-old winger. Despite the match ending in a 1-1 draw, Doku’s lightning-quick pace and ability stole the show, setting a new Premier League record.

Erling Haaland surprised the Etihad with a low-driven effort after capitalizing on a rare misplaced kick by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

The resilient Reds, however, managed to tie the score late in the game with a magnificent shot from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Doku, Pep Guardiola’s summer addition, showed off his abilities by harassing Alexander-Arnold throughout the game.

The 21-year-old winger set a new record for the most take-ons completed in a single Premier League game this season by completing 11 take-ons.

While Manchester City lost out on a fourth consecutive Premier League win at home, Doku’s outstanding performance made a lasting impression.

After the dust settled, City found themselves in second position, only one point behind Arsenal after the Gunners defeated Brentford later that day.

The intense competition for first place promises more interesting confrontations in the remaining weeks of the Premier League season.
