If Laporte moves to Barcelona, Man City will push for the summer move for Josko Gvardiol.

Manchester City center-back Aymeric Laporte is making a departure from Etihad Stadium at the end of this season, as per 90min.

Barcelona is keen to sign the Spain international and the player is linked with the Catalan giants from last few months.

Laporte returned from knee surgery earlier this season but has struggled to find place in Pep Guardiola’s team. He has appeared in just seven Premier League games since returning in October. Pep is now giving preference to Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji, and Nathan Ake in defence.

As per the sources of 90min, the 28-year-old has spoken to the Man City boss about his situation and having had it confirmed that he is no longer the first choice.

Guardiola has publicly stressed that he will not keep any unsettled players at the Etihad against their well and he is prepared to sanction Laporte’s departure as a result.

If Laporte moves to Barcelona, Man City will push for the summer move for RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has already claimed that they want to sign a new centre-back and someone of Laporte’s profile would be their desired addition.
