Manchester City monitoring Barcelona sensation Gavi

Gavi would be an ideal successor to Ilkay Gundogan.

Manchester City are monitoring Barcelona youngster, Gavi for the future perspective. The Daily Mail reported that Manchester City are monitoring this Spanish player who has a £42m release clause in his contract.

It is understood that the Mancunian giants are keeping a keen eye on the Spanish midfielder who is hesitant to make a big move so early in his career.

The 17-year-old has established himself as the top player in Barcelona and has been a regular player under Gavi. Gavi has scored one goal and three assists in 24 matches for Barca this season across all competition.

The Spanish young kid is averaging 1.3 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 0.8 shots, 0.6 key passes and 1.5 dribbles per game in La Liga.

The 17-year-old Barca man is an excellent passer of the ball and has shown that he has the vision to set up a few clear-cut chances for his teammates in the final third.

Pep Guardiola can plan to sign him in future and he would be an ideal successor to Ilkay Gundogan who is entering the last stage of his playing career. Barcelona are going through a financial crisis so Man City may get Gavi on a decent affordable price.
