Manchester City are monitoring Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga. The midfielder is attracting significant interest from across the Premier League ahead of the summer transfer window.

Pep Guardiola is set for a significant shake-up to his Manchester City midfield ahead of next season. Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva are leaving the club following the end of the campaign.

Gundogan is linked with Barcelona, and he is out of contract at the end of the season. Bernardo Silva could be set for a return to France, with PSG recently renewing their interest in the Portugal midfielder.

Manchester City signed young Argentina midfielder Maximo Perrone in January, and have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham as well as Chelsea pair Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic.

The 20-year-old has been directly involved in 13 goals in 29 appearances so far this season, netting nine times and providing three assists.

Celta Vigo President Carlos Mourino recently revealed that four Premier League sides had already enquired about him.

“Of the top 10 in the Premier League, four have asked about him,” said Mourino.

Veiga has a €40 million release clause and according to the Daily Mail, City manager Pep Guardiola is keen to add to his midfield in the transfer market.
