Toni Kroos could add more depth to Pep’s midfield department.

According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester City are currently making a move for Toni Kroos of Real Madrid. It is understood that the German veteran’s contract with the Spanish giants expires at the end of this season.

Premier League winners are ready to offer him a higher wage than his current employers.

The Germany international has had a brilliant start to this season as he has put in several influential displays at the center of the park for the Los Blancos. He has scored once and added four assists from 16 appearances across all competitions.

The Greifswald-born talent can get stuck in with some solid tackles to make life tough for the opposition in the midfield areas. Kroos has won all the top titles there is to win at both international and club levels. He won the World Cup with Germany in 2014 and won five Champions League titles with Bayern and Madrid respectively.

His arrival at the Etihad Stadium could add more depth to Pep’s midfield department and will bring more creativity to the attack.
