Nathan Ake lauds teammate Jeremy Doku after brilliant performance against Bournemouth.

The Man City winger bagged one goal and four assists following his man-of-the-match display in City’s 6-1 win over the Cherries.

Doku arrived from Ligue 1 outfit Rennes in the summer for €65 million and has announced himself in the Premier League last night.

The Belgian winger has hit the ground running since his arrival at the Etihad and has put up a real fight with Jack Grealish for the left-wing role.

Doku scored the opening goal of the match before setting up Bernardo Silva twice in the game.

He also assisted Manuel Akanji and Phil Foden in the second-half and helped City climb to the top of the Premier League table.

Doku became the youngest player in Premier League history to secure five goal involvements in a single game.

Man City defender Nathan Ake was delighted with the Belgian’s Man of the Match display last night.

He said: “His personality, he works hard, he’s a good guy and he gets on with everyone.

“He’s not shy to show his abilities, he wants to take everyone on even in training. He’s so difficult to mark and he’s going to be important this season.”
