If Newcastle want to get Kalvin Phillips at St James Park, they will have to make a big offer.

Man City midfielder Klavin Phillips is likely to leave the club in 2024 and he is heavily linked with Newcastle United. As per the reports of the Daily Telegraph, the Magpies are leading the race for the 28-year-old midfielder.

It has been added that Paris Saint-Germain are also in pole position to sign the Englishman this year. He has been a quality player but is not getting regular time under Pep Guardiola.

Man City boss is preferring Rodri, John Stones and Mateo Kovacic in Man City’s pecking order. The English midfielder has only made ten appearances this campaign, scoring one goal in the process across all competitions.

The 28-year-old will see his contract expiring at the Mancunian club in the summer of 2028. If Newcastle want to get him at St James Park, they will have to make a big offer.

The former Leeds midfielder is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his side inside his half. He could be a great addition to Eddie Howe’s midfield department.

Kalvin Phillips also wants some game time so he can challenge himself for Euro 2024 which is scheduled this summer in Germany.
