Man City could dip into the market to replace injured Kevin de Bruyne.

The Belgium midfielder has been sidelined until the end of Decemeber after undergoing surgery on his hamstring injury.

City will also be looking to replace Riyad Mahrez who joined Al Ahli in a £30m deal this summer.

West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta is one option and Rennes winger Jeremy Doku has also been linked with the Cityzens.

After Man City’s 1-0 over Newcastle, Guardiola claims that the club must make new signings in the final few days of the summer window.

The club has already spent over £100 million on Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol this summer.

Guardiola said: “We will need everyone with this schedule and calendar. Over the next one or two [weeks] the club have to take some important decisions with the squad. We didn’t expect with Kevin and we didn’t expect with Riyad to leave but I have a feeling we’ve spoken about that.

“We are who we are. A lot of young players on the bench and that’s the difference. Okay we are a few people – the guys who want to be here are here and let’s try and do it.”
