Riyad Mahrez confirms his desire to stay at Man City.
The Algerian winger has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates.
Earlier it was reported that he would leave Etihad as Pep Guardiola is eyeing for a squad revamp.
The 30-year old was one of the key players under Guardiola last season and the club will probably offer him a new contract which is to expire in 2023.
He spent most of the summer on a holiday and can be the driving force behind City’s start to the season.
Mahrez said in an interview with YouTube channel Oui Hustle: “What if I want to go higher? I do not see what is higher [than Manchester City].
“To try another championship [elsewhere]? No. I really love England and English football is wonderful. I don’t want to leave. I still have goals to pursue here.
“When you see [Pep] Guardiola wants you, it’s flattering. The acclimatisation here was not easy, but our relationship today, everyone knows [it is great].”
