The Sky Blues started their title defense with an emphatic 5-0 win over Championship club Huddersfield Town at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola’s side will now take on Tottenham in the next round who beat Burnely 1-0 on Friday at home ground. Ange Postecoglou’s side made a fluent start to the season but we saw a dip in their firm.
There will be three more Premier League clashes in the fourth round. Chelsea has been drawn at home against Aston Villa, Fulham will host Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion has been drawn away against Sheffield United.
After beating Arsenal in the previous game, Liverpool gets an easy tie as they face either Norwich City or Bristol Rovers at Anfield. Man United will face the winner of a third-round replay between Newport County and non-league Eastleigh.
