Erling Haaland opens up about struggles with fame ahead of Spain face-off

Erling Haaland, the Norwegian football star who has been setting the world of football on fire with his outstanding performances, has expressed frustration with the constant noise surrounding his name.

As the day for Norway’s vital Euro 2024 qualifier against Spain approaches, Haaland admits to feeling a little pressure in the heat of the anticipation.

“Of course, I greatly appreciate the support. This what I’ve wanted to do since I was little, so I’m not complaining about it,” he told TV2.

“I’m starting to get a little tired of hearing my own name, but that’s how it is. There is not much I can do about it.”

Haaland’s goal record for the national team currently stands at an incredible 27 goals from 27 caps, coating his status as the nation’s second-highest scorer after hitting a stunning brace in Norway’s 4-0 win over Cyprus.

However, this wave of achievement has brought its own set of barriers. Due to a crowd of eager fans requesting signatures and photos, Haaland required security help to safely exit the pitch during a recent match.

Haaland’s absence from the replay against Spain due to injury in March just adds to the excitement and focus on the coming match. With both sides fighting for a ticket in Euro 2024, the pressure on Haaland and his team is tremendous. Yet young attacker remains focused on his performance, ready to set up his worth on the field and help Norway qualify for the tournament.
