Kalvin Phillips can also play as a centre-back or as a box-to-box midfielder if required.
According to a report of iNews, Everton are facing stiff competition for Manchester City midfield ace Kalvin Phillips. It has been added that Newcastle United, West Ham United and Bayern Munich are also in the race to sign the English talent.
The English sensation has experienced a lacklustre spell at Etihad following the struggle to earn a regular spot in their starting XI. The 27-year-old has only featured in five matches this season across all competitions.
Phillips has been impressive when distributing the ball from midfield. His contract will expire at Man City in 2028. Everton cannot sign him permanently and he should only consider signing him on loan.
The Englishman is a solid tackler of the ball and he can also play as a centre-back or as a box-to-box midfielder if required. Phillips could help Everton to avoid relegation and maybe even push for European football in the Premier League this season.
