Manchester City are ready to scout Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz. The representatives of Manchester City arrived to monitor his performance.
The 20-year-old has established himself as an integral player for Leverkusen over the last few seasons. He has made 118 appearances for the Bundesliga giants across all competitions, scoring 29 goals and providing 39 assists.
Florian Wirtz was not in action for around nine months in 2022 with a serious ACL injury. He managed to contribute with four goals and eight assists in 25 matches last season.
Wirtz has netted six goals and provided nine assists in 15 appearances to help Leverkusen win 14 matches across all competitions at sit top of both the Bundesliga table and their Europa League group.
As per the reports of 90min, the Sky Blues sent scouts to watch Wirtz score during Leverkusen’s win away against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga last Saturday.
The report adds that Man City officials were present at the BayArena to primarily monitor the performance of Wirtz.
