Oscar Bobb, a 20-year-old prodigy, has reaffirmed his loyalty to Manchester City, focusing on his intention to grow under Pep Guardiola’s guidance. The teenage winger, who joined the Citizens from Vlerenga Fotball in 2019, smoothly transitioned from the youth ranks to the first squad at the start of this season, showing his rapid progress.

“It’s nice. It’s a place you want to be. It’s the best place you can be to develop and improve as a footballer. There is not one person [inside the dressing room] who stands out,” he said.

Bobb, who made his senior squad debut in a dramatic league win over Fulham, has made seven notable appearances this season. His outstanding performance at the Etihad earned him the honor of wearing the national colors when he made his debut for Norway in October.

When Dagbladet asked him if there was a talk of going out on loan in the summer, Bobb explained: “It wasn’t that this summer. That’s not the way I want to go. You never know, but I’d rather be at City.”

His contract expires in 2026 and the Norwegian has hinted he’s willing to sign a long-term deal at Manchester City.

“My agents and the club take care of that. I don’t know anything [of potential talks for a new deal]. That [staying at City for the rest of his life] would be cool,” he added.

On his own development, Bobb said: “I feel like I have a lot to grow on. In my head, I can get a lot smarter.”

In a football world rife with transfer rumors, Bobb’s dedication to Manchester City stayed solid. In August, his agent declared clearly that the youthful star never wavered in his devotion to Guardiola’s team despite tempting attention from other clubs throughout the transfer season.

For Bobb, the decision is simple: Manchester City remains the ideal crucible for his continuing development as a player.
