Mateo Kovacic has completed a £30m move to Manchester City.
The Cityzens have confirmed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic in a deal worth £30m.
The 29-year-old midfielder has penned a four-year contract and will be City’s first signing of the summer.
Kovacic has made 221 appearances for Chelsea across five seasons at Stamford Bridge winning the Champions League and Europa League.
Guardiola was keen to reinforce his midfielder after Ilkay Gundogan decided to join Barcelona on a free transfer.
The Croatian midfielder will prepare for the pre-season with Man City as the squad looks to face Bayern Munich on June 26.

“This is a brilliant move for me, and I cannot wait to get started with City,” Kovacic said in Man City’s announcement.
“Anyone who has watched this team under Pep knows how good they are – for me, they are the best in the world. The trophies they have won are clear for all to see, but they are also the best footballing side out there.
“To be joining this squad really is a dream for any footballer.”
