His short time at City was mostly plagued by injuries and inconsistencies on the pitch. This made him one of the players who regretted joining Manchester City.

All they can talk about is Manchester United; they can’t get away from it,” he said, reported by the BBC. “They think taking Carlos Tevez away from Manchester United is a triumph. It is poor stuff.”

Bernardo Silva coy about Man City future

Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva has remained coy on his future at the club following recent speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona

Pep Guardiola said last summer that the Portuguese was willing to quit the club after a decreased role in the team during the 2020/21 season, in which he only made 26 league appearances.
Bernardo stayed at the Etihad and became a far more important player, appearing in all but three of City’s Premier League games this season, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists in all competitions.
In recent days, the 27-year-old has been linked with a transfer to Barcelona, where he would likely replace Manchester United midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

Pep Guardiola has stated that luring the midfielder away from the Premier League winners would be tough for the cash-strapped Catalan club.

According to sources, the Portuguese midfielder has an agreement in place with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola that permits him to leave the club this summer if a suitable offer comes in. Silva had been linked with a move away from the club last summer, but he ended up staying, thanks in part to this agreement. Silva is ready to move on after five years in Manchester.

In the case of Silva, if Barcelona could make a good offer would be the deciding factor. Reading between the lines, it appears that any monies raised through sales would be committed to Lewandowski, and bringing in a second star signing this summer is out of reach.

Jack Grealish made an 18-minute cameo for England against Germany.

The Man City midfielder recently admitted that he gets more freedom while playing with England rather than his club.

Gareth Southgate has advised the former Aston Villa man to work on his defensive awareness to guarantee a place as a starter.

His performance against Germany left an impact on Rudiger who believes he has a bigger role to play for England in the World Cup.

“Grealish gave the team a real impact,” Rudiger said. “He is a very dangerous player and those sort of players are going to win you games.

“The England squad has great quality. [Bukayo] Saka comes out, Grealish comes in. I saw a lot of big, big names were on the bench. England have a lot to be optimistic about for the future.”

Rudiger continued: “Players like [Marcus] Rashford and [Jadon] Sancho didn’t even make the squad. You have a lot of depth and you have big players like Harry Kane, [Raheem] Sterling and Grealish.”

“I feel sometimes when I’m here I can try and play with as much freedom as possible,” Grealish smiled. “I felt like I did that today.”

“I do think that, yeah. I feel at times I’ve played a bit safe at City but when I come here I feel like even in training I train really well: score goals, get assists and whatnot. When I come on the pitch… it’s hard to explain. I do feel like I play with a lot more freedom here and hopefully I can transfer that into my club football and keep on improving.”

Oleksandr Zinchenko’s Ukraine lost to Wales in World Cup final play-off.

The Ukraine World Cup squad has produced a match-winning performance against Scotland in the semi-final but struggled to overcome Wales in the finals.

Welsh ended their 64-year wait for a World Cup appearance and will show their glimpses in Qatar later this year.

Zinchenko explained how his side has done everything in their powers to win the game.

“Every one of us gave everything today, we left everything on the pitch,” the Man City defender said. “In general I don’t think we deserved to lose, but that’s football, it happens.

“Football is about emotions, we can bring some great emotions to our fans, but unfortunately today we didn’t get the result we wanted.”

“Everyone needs to continue to fight, as footballers we need to represent our country as best we can,” he continued.

“Everyone needs to live in peace and we need to stop the war altogether. Today it’s Ukraine, but who knows tomorrow? We need to stay together.”

Gabriel Jesus would be a great fit for Mikel Arteta’s side.

The Gunners are frontrunners in signing Man City forward Gabriel Jesus this summer transfer window.

Eddie Nketiah is reportedly signing a fresh new deal with the North London club whereas Lacazette has already left the club to join his former side, Lyon.

Jesus would go down the pecking order next season due to the arrival of both Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.

So Arsenal would definitely push for a move for the Brazilian whose versatility and fluidity would be crucial for Arteta.

He has scored 58 goals in 159 appearances for the Cityzens so far.

Merson wrote on SportsKeeda: “I thought Alexandre Lacazette would kick on after Aubameyang left, but he didn’t really get going.

“He’s a much better player than his performances this season have shown him to be.

“Arsenal have been linked to Gabriel Jesus and I think he’ll be a great fit alongside Eddie Nketiah, who’s going to get better.”
