Erling Haaland is the marquee signing for Manchester City this summer.

The Cityzens has completed a £51m move for Norwegian star Erling Haaland this summer.

He banged in 86 goals in 89 appearances for Borussia Dortmund in the prior two seasons.

He was linked to every major European club this summer but he eventually made a move to the Etihad.

The 21-year-old striker further went on explaining his reason to join Pep Guardiola’s side.

He said: “I just had the feeling in my stomach and the feeling [for] the way they play, everything… I had the feeling for City.

“It is a different level, I have to say. How they approach the game, how they play, how they create chances. That’s what I want to be a part of.

“It is a big challenge. It is a new country, a new league, new coach, new everything – so it is a big challenge, but I know how it is to come to a new club; I have done it a couple of times before. I am really looking forward to it.”

Man City include three clauses in Romeo Lavia transfer to Southampton

Romeo Lavia was signed from Anderlecht two years ago.

Southampton are likely to announce the permanent signing of Manchester City academy graduate Romeo Lavia. It’s a deal worth a potential £14 million.

Manchester City are maintaining several clauses that could benefit them in the future.

There were some reports that two clubs had agreed on a deal worth around £10 million for the holding midfielder – however, it became apparent in the days that followed that the sides had actually agreed on a £14 million deal.

Manchester Evening News reported that the Premier League champions are set to bank an initial £10.5 million, with potential bonuses of £3.5 million for the 18-year-old.

Lavia was signed from Anderlecht two years ago and went on to impress immensely within the Elite Development Squad and has featured in Guardiola’s senior matchday squads on a number of occasions.

Raheem Sterling could be on his way out of Etihad this summer.

The 27-year-old England international has just one year left on his contract and has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

He is currently one of the crucial players under Guardiola’s regime and City can’t afford to lose him this summer.

Paul Merson claims if City were to sell him, they will lose a player who scores a crazy amount of goals for the club.

Merson to Sky Sports: “I think he might take time, he plays at Man City to the absolute way that Pep Guardiola wants you to play. He knows when that ball is coming into the box, he’s coming to that far post, you look at Grealish, he hasn’t got that at the moment.

“When the ball is whipped in and Grealish is still on the touchline – Sterling does it to an art. In my opinion, he will be massively missed. It might take time at Chelsea but he will be a great signing.

“I’d worry about Man City selling Sterling, you’re selling a lot of goals, people go to me ‘he’s always at the far post tapping them in’ he’s not pushing anybody out the way to tap them goals in. There’s an art to what he does and he’d be a massive miss for Man City and if Chelsea got him.”

Darko Gyabi explains his reason to join Leeds United on a permanent deal.

The Millwall academy product arrived at Etihad in 2018 and has made 39 appearances for the youth team.

The 18-year-old midfielder has now moved to Elland Road on a four-year deal with Leeds paying in excess of £5 million for the youngster.

Even though he has 12 caps for England at the youth level, he failed to make a senior squad appearance at City.

The youngster explains the reason behind his move to the Elland Road.

He said: “I am really excited. Obviously I have seen that they’ve given the young players a lot of opportunities in the first team here. I think it was nine debuts in the Premier League last season, so that’s really good.

“I know a bit about the club, it’s a great club. The fans are what has attracted me the most.

“I played here last season and the fans were crazy in an Under-23s game. So, I can’t imagine how that’s going to be in a full stadium.”

Riyad Mahrez expected to sign new Manchester City contract

Riyad Mahrez and Manchester City have begun contract negotiations as it appears that both Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling will leave the team. The Algerian’s contract has 12 months remaining as of right now.

Mahrez concluded last season as the club’s leading goal scorer in all competitions with 24 goals, five more than any other player. As a result, City wish to extend Mahrez’s contract.

After early talks and negotiations went well, there is anticipation that Mahrez will sign a contract and commit to staying at the Etihad.

City want to keep the 31-year-old winger through 2023 despite Jesus’ impending £45 million+ move to Arsenal and Sterling’s increasing likelihood of joining Chelsea.

Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, the South American Player of the Year, have joined Pep Guardiola’s attack this summer, giving him the option of six attackers should Sterling go for Stamford Bridge and not be replaced by the team.

Cole Palmer, a highly touted young player who made only four starts last season but contributed to four goals, is destined to serve as Mahrez’s right-side backup while Phil Foden and Jack Grealish are used on the left.

The Algerian international does not appear to be slowing down after having his most productive season statistically (33 contributions to goals in 47 games). After starting the winger in each match of the previous season’s Champions League, Guardiola seemed to have gained confidence in him.

It’s expected that Mahrez will sign the contract, keeping him at the club for more than five years.

Manchester City are looking to defeat their arch-rivals Chelsea to the signing of Matthijs de Ligt by offering a potential swap deal.

The Blues had been linked with a move to sign De Ligt. They lost two defenders this summer and they need a better replacement. Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger have both already left the club.

According to Calcio Mercato, De Ligt is one of Chelsea’s number one targets. Manchester City are also interested in the 22-year-old and are willing to offer Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ilkay Gundogan in exchange for De Ligt.

Will De Ligt find a regular place in Man City when they already have Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, and John Stones? Meanwhile, Chelsea has a different story, especially with Tuchel playing a back three.

Kalvin Phillips would be a great signing for Manchester City.

The Cityzens have agreed on a £51million transfer fee to sign Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips this summer.

The 26-year-old is yet to agree on personal terms but he is a direct replacement for veteran Fernandinho who leaves this summer.

Former City goalkeeper Shay Given gives his verdict on City’s new signing.

Shay Given said on talkSPORT: “He is a top-class player and there is no getting away from that. The only decision he would have to make in a World Cup year would be is he going to go to City and start every game?

“He has been starting for England. If he is a bit-part player for City, will that spell trouble for his England career? For this year especially with the World Cup coming in December.”

Given added: “That’s the only question for him but, as a player, he is brilliant.

“You can’t ask Rodri to play every game, every three days with the Champions League, Premier League and for their internationals, as well. I think he will be a great signing.”
